Sea Cadet Family Handbook
This handbook is provided as a guide for parents during their child’s involvement with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) or the Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC). Most parents who choose to read this booklet do so because their son or daughter has joined, or is interested in joining, either the NSCC or the NLCC.
Recruit Orientation Workbook
Designed to accompany the Recruit Orientation course, this workbook helps new cadets learn the fundamentals of Sea Cadet life through guided activities, note-taking, and practical exercises. Topics include the chain of command, military bearing, physical fitness, uniforms, ranks, drill, terminology, and advancement requirements. Completing the workbook reinforces classroom instruction and provides an excellent study guide throughout a cadet's first months in the program.
Recommended for: New cadets (NSCC & NLCC) during their first months in the program.
Cadet Application Packet
This official enrollment packet contains the forms required to apply for membership in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and U.S. Navy League Cadet Corps. It includes the cadet application, parent and guardian agreements, medical history and examination forms, and other documents necessary to complete the enrollment process. Families should coordinate with unit staff before submitting the packet to ensure all required documents have been completed accurately and all supporting records are included.

Quarterdeck User Guide
Quarterdeck is the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps' primary online member portal, used by cadets, parents, and adult volunteers to manage their participation in the program. Through Quarterdeck, families can update contact information, complete annual renewals, apply for training opportunities, review qualifications, and access important program information.
This guide walks new families through creating and linking parent accounts, navigating the system, and using Quarterdeck's most common features. Parents of newly enrolled League Cadets and Sea Cadets are encouraged to review this guide shortly after receiving their cadet's Quarterdeck login credentials.
NSCC/NLCC Uniform Manual
This official uniform manual provides detailed guidance on the proper wear, care, and appearance of uniforms for both Navy League Cadets (NLCC) and Naval Sea Cadets (NSCC). It includes uniform diagrams, insignia placement, grooming standards, and wear regulations to help cadets present a sharp, professional military appearance.
Parents and cadets are encouraged to use this manual as a reference when preparing uniforms, attaching insignia, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps uniform standards.
